Brookhaven Child Care is a non-profit community based child care program. A volunteered Parent Board of Director’s  meet on a monthly basis to make sure the goals and objectives of the program are being met.

The Parent Board members usually serve a one-year term and are elected at the Annual General meeting held in the spring.

Hours of Operation:

The hours of the centre are from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. The centre will be close for all statutory and civic holidays as well as Easter Monday and one other day during the Christmas season.

The staff at Brookhaven Child Care are qualified teachers who are trained in Early Childhood Education or equivalent with diploma or degree in E.C.E. and are registered with the College of Early Childhood Education. The Assistant teachers are enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at a College.

The staff/child ratio is as per Day Nurseries Act. At times we exceed the required staff/child ratios to provide an enhanced program.
